2025-2026 Childcare - Beforecare 2025/2026
Childcare Information: The Buxton Recreation Department is proud to offer a variety of child care programs to fit your families needs this fall! Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and engaging social environment for all children in our community during out-of-school times. Our Childcare Programs take place right at Buxton Center Elementary School, Monday-Friday, and provides easy transition to and from the classrooms. Each program offers outdoor play whenever possible. Please read the Buxton Recreation Parent Handbook before registering for a program, as it will answer your questions about our medications, and pick-up/drop-off procedures. If you have questions, please call our office at 207-929-8381.Before School Childcare - Hours: 7:00 AM—8:25 AMOur Before School Program takes place at the Buxton Center Elementary School. Join us this spring for Track and Field! Each day, participants will learn new track and field events, including shot put, discus, softball throw, standing jump, long jump, turbo-jav, and running events! We will also be learning about track meets, goal setting, and striving for our personal best! There will be local track meets, where they can then compete with fellow athletes. Early Release Adventure Program: Hours: 12:30am-5:30pmOur Early Release Program provides care for families who need are looking to keep their children occupied during the afternoons when school is out! Children will be dismissed from their classroom to Early Release Program at 12:30! Our Early Release Program will offer crafts, gym time, and special activities such as seasonal arts and crafts, and much more!Cost: $400 *includes all Early Release Days Registration Process:Early Release Adventures registrations can be completed online. Registration will open for returning families on Monday, July 21st. Any remaining spots will open for general public on Monday, July 28th. A deposit of $100 is required at the time of registration. Mom's Coffee Hour - Mom's Coffee Hour- Spring
This free social support group is designed for all moms including those who are expecting or are in the TTC community. Each week as a group we will host conversations regarding various topics to help support one another. Topics such as sleep training, car seat use, postpartum health, perinatal fitness, Infant first aid and CPR, and other similar topics! This support group will be hosted by Rachel Pelletier of Mamabear Fitness. Coffee and light refreshments will be available. Early Release Adventure Program: Hours: 12:30am-5:30pmOur Early Release Program provides care for families who need are looking to keep their children occupied during the afternoons when school is out! Early Release Adventure Program: Hours: 12:30am-5:30pmOur Early Release Program provides care for families who need are looking to keep their children occupied during the afternoons when school is out! Children will be dismissed from their classroom to Early Release Program at 12:30! Our Early Release Program will offer crafts, gym time, and special activities such as seasonal arts and crafts, and much more!Cost: $400 *includes all Early Release Days Registration Process:Early Release Adventures registrations can be completed online. Registration will open for returning families on Monday, July 21st. Any remaining spots will open for general public on Monday, July 28th. A deposit of $100 is required at the time of registration. Track and Field - Track and Field
Join us this spring for Track and Field! Each day, participants will learn new track and field events, including shot put, discus, softball throw, standing jump, long jump, turbo-jav, and running events! We will also be learning about track meets, goal setting, and striving for our personal best! There will be local track meets, where they can then compete with fellow athletes.
