Spend a classic coastal afternoon with Cabbage Island Clambakes, one of Maine’s most iconic traditions. Your adventure begins with a scenic cruise through Boothbay Harbor aboard the Bennie Alice, heading to Cabbage Island.
Once ashore, you’ll be welcomed by the Moore family, who have been hosting traditional clambakes here since 1956. The highlight is an authentic Downeast feast: lobsters and clams steamed over seaweed, covered with tarps and rocks to lock in flavor—a time-honored cooking method unique to coastal Maine.
Your meal includes:
- New England fish chowder
- Two fresh Maine lobsters
- Steamed clams
- Corn on the cob, potatoes, and onion
- Optional roasted chicken alternative
- Blueberry cake for dessert with coffee or iced tea
It’s not just a meal, it’s a full cultural experience combining a harbor cruise, island setting, and one of Maine’s most beloved culinary traditions.
