Buxton Recreation Department's Youth Sports Philosophy
The Buxton Recreation Department strives to offer high quality youth sports programming for its community. Our youth sports programs are designed to provide recreational opportunities that will encourage good sportsmanship, age-appropriate fundamentals, knowledge of the game, teamwork, as well as personal health and well-being. Coaches, parents, and fans will work together to help children develop a love and passion for the sport by creating a fun and enthusiastic environment for the all participants in our programs.
Pre-K
Dates: Thursdays, 9/5– 10/3
Time: 4:30PM-5:15PM

Register your child for our a stationed based soccer program. Players will participate in a variety of games and activities that will encourage gross motor development. Soccer skills, obstacle courses, and relay races are all on the line-up!
Kindergarten Soccer
Dates: Saturdays, 9/7– 10/5
Time: 8:30AM-9:30AM
Cost: $40 (Res) $45 (Non-Res)
Kindergarten soccer is a clinic-style program introducing basic soccer skills in a positive environment. We will end with a 20 minute modified game to re-enforce each skill that was taught.This program is overseen by volunteer coaches and Buxton Rec Staff.
Grade 1-2 Soccer
Cost: $45 (Res) $50 (Non-Res)
Dates: Starts 8/19 -Ends 10/12
This program continues to grow you child’s basic skills as well as introducing game play. Practices will be once a week either on a weeknight and games will be scheduled for Saturday mornings
Grade 3/4 Girls Soccer-
Cost: $45 (Res) $50 (Non-Res)
Dates: Starts 8/19-Ends 10/12
Practices will be held once during the week and will have a game on Saturday mornings with area teams.
Grade 3/4 Boys Soccer
Cost: $45 (Res) $50 (Non-Res)
Dates: Starts 8/19-Ends 10/12
Practices will be held once during the week and will have a game on Saturday mornings with area teams.
Grade 5-7 Boys and Girls Soccer
Cost: $50 (Res) $55 (Non-Res)
Dates: Starts 8/19-Ends 10/12
We will be able to offer a Boys and Girls team this year. Practices will be held two times per week at both Buxton (Town Farm Park) and will have a games on Saturday mornings with area teams. This a travel team program. Participants will need their own transportation.
